Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Breeathy app collects, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain language.

In short:

We collect your email address and the check-ins you choose to save (mood, optional note, breathing time).
We use them only to run your account and show you your own history.
No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, and we never sell your data.
You can delete individual check-ins or your whole account at any time.

1. Who we are

Breeathy is provided by ReiSpace Technologies Inc., which is responsible for your personal information.

2. Information we collect

When you create an account

Email address: to create your account, sign you in and send you codes.
User ID: a random identifier created for your account, used to link your check-ins to you.
Password: stored by our authentication service as a one-way encrypted hash. We never see or store your password in readable form.

When you check in

Mood: a number from 1 to 5 that you choose.
Note (optional): free text you write, up to 500 characters.
Breathing session length: how many seconds you breathed before checking in (0 if you check in without a session).
Date and time of each check-in.

Your mood and notes describe how you feel, so treat them as sensitive. Only you can see them in the app. Write only what you are comfortable storing.

If you ask to delete your account

The date you asked, the date your account is scheduled to be deleted, and whether you cancelled the request.

Stored only on your device

Reminder settings: whether the daily reminder is on and its time. These stay on your phone and are never sent to us.
Sign-in session: a token that keeps you signed in. It is removed when you sign out.

The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled by your phone. We do not use push notification servers. The app asks for notification permission only when you turn the reminder on.

Technical information

Like most online services, our service providers keep technical logs (for example, IP addresses and the time of requests) for a limited period for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to build profiles about you.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health records, advertising identifiers or device identifiers, and the app contains no analytics, crash reporting or advertising tools.

3. How we use your information

To create and manage your account and sign you in.
To save your check-ins and show you your own history.
To send you email codes to confirm your address and to reset your password.
To process account deletion requests.
To keep the service secure and working.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not use analytics, and we never sell or rent your personal information.

4. Service providers

We use two service providers that process personal information on our behalf, only to provide Breeathy and under their own security and privacy terms:

Your account and check-ins are stored in Canada (Supabase). The emails with your confirmation and password-reset codes are sent through Resend's infrastructure in the United States (N. Virginia region), so your email address and the content of those emails are processed in the United States and are subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities. We do not share your information with anyone else, except if required by law.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep your account and check-ins for as long as your account exists.
You can delete any individual check-in in the app (History, then the delete button) at any time.
When you delete your account, it is scheduled for deletion 30 days later. At the end of those 30 days, your account and all your check-ins and deletion requests are deleted. See Delete your account.
Our email provider (Resend) may keep delivery records of the emails we sent for a limited time under its own terms. Those records are not under Breeathy's control.

6. Security

Information between the app and our database and authentication service (Supabase) travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each account can only read and change its own check-ins. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.

7. Your choices and rights

Access: your check-ins are always visible in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
Correction: you can delete a check-in and add a new one. To correct your email address or anything else, contact us.
Deletion: delete check-ins in the app, or delete your whole account from Settings in the app or by email. See Delete your account.
Reminders: turn the daily reminder off in the app or in your phone's notification settings at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email dev3@reispace.com from the address linked to your account. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will reply within 30 days.

We handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian privacy laws. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the privacy commissioner responsible for your jurisdiction.

8. Children

Breeathy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and loads nothing from third parties. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses for security purposes.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we may also let you know in the app or by email.
